Again, His birth is a sign. A sign gives direction. In fact
when you get lost and you see a sign, which may be enough for you to reach your
destination. When there was no rain and hunger has corrupted the land, Elijah,
a man of like passions just as you and I prayed until a sign of rain appeared. A
sign brings hope. In a case of marriage, children are signs of fruitful
marriage. In business a profits may tell you that that business is bumming. And
the Lord shall give you a sign! And that is Jesus. Today; that which you have
been waiting for long, may the Lord give you a sign in Jesus name.
His birth is a gift. Don’t worry, this season you shall get a
gift. Have you wondered why during this time the expectation is high for a gift?
You may not have given me any gift for the whole year but during this time, you
can’t help but to give me or others gift. The aura of Christmas is charged with
the spirit of giving. Unto us a child is born but a Son is given. For God so
loved the world, He gave us Jesus. Jesus is a gift given to us by God and
during this time, you have to give, either in kind or in gift.
His birth is joy. Joy is different from happiness. Whiles happiness
is transient, joy is unconditional happiness. They sing “Joy to the World” in
every mall and restaurants, cars and in studios, almost in every Christmas carols.
Why? Because the redeemer is born. The people of Israel were waiting for their
Messiah and the king. So, some who saw this like Anna the widow and Simon the prophet
hearts were filled with joy. I pray God will fill every home, church and nation
with joy this season.
