Daily Quote: He is God for all but not to all - Michael Gyekye

Bible in One year:Genesis 42:18-43:34 Matthew 13:47-14:12 Psalm 18:16-36 Proverbs 4:7-10

Why would God set his heart on one brother and not another? Why will God allow people you are more beautiful and rich than get married? Why will God allow their wombs to open, yet you have tried more and more? Why will they pass the exams under one sitting and yet, you have tried and tried? You were more brilliant and had all the needed resources, yet, you are behind? Some of us are always behind in everything but the answer to all these is Favor.

From our main text, the word of God says; “I have loved you,” says the Lord. But you say, “How have you loved us?” “Is not Esau Jacob’s brother?” declares the Lord. “Yet I have loved Jacob but Esau I have hated. They were two brothers, blessed to be born by Isaac, who is a blessing born to the blessed Abraham and blessed Sarah, yet, the Lord says; Esau He has hated.

In fact, amazing favor rested upon Jacob repeatedly throughout his life. He escaped the wrath of his own brother and the trickery and mistreatment of his uncle Laban. Jacob left Isaac’s house empty and came back one of the richest men of his day. This year, you shall not end it empty. As you have tarried with me in these days, the Lord will let you come out with plenty. Not by might nor power but by His divine favor.

Favor also rested on Joseph, Jacob’s son, in such a supernatural way that he was promoted in Egypt when Pharaoh had never seen him before. He was unknown to the ruler of the most powerful nation in the region, yet Joseph was given such favor that Pharaoh handed him control over the land! Favor rested on Moses also to such an extent that Moses was favored by Pharaoh’s daughter, who prepared him as he grew up for his life’s historic mission. Also favor rested on Israel when they left Egypt to such a degree that they literally took all the riches of Egypt (Exodus 12:36). The Bible says they “spoiled,” or took all the wealth, not just part of it.

Note this:

God loves you and wants to set you free. Jesus died for you and salvation is the gateway for divine blessings and abundance. If you are not born again, you are not free. If you want to be born again today by giving your life to Christ, or you want to renew your faith,  please pray this prayer

“Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins and cleanse me with Your Blood. Deliver me from sin and Satan to serve the living God. I accept You as my Lord and Savior. Make me a child of God today. Thank You for accepting me into Your Kingdom.”'

Prayers for Today
  1. Father, as these men born of flesh and blood experienced your favor, favor me in Jesus name.
  2. Father, cleanse me from all sins that will drive me away from you today.
  3. Father, anything that can stop me now by your favor I stop it in Jesus name.
  4. Father, I am going up higher in Jesus name.
